Iran to Host Int'l Conference on Philosophy
Social: Iran is due to host an international conference on the World Philosophy Day to highlight the glory of philosophy and thought.
Addressing Sohrevardi Commemoration Day in Zanjan, Head of Iran's
Theosophy and Philosophy Institute Gholamreza A'vani said that the
significant event is an opportunity for the country to showcase the
prosperity and glory of the philosophy and thought.
He said that the event should be held in a glorious manner.
The event will focus on 14 topics, he said, noting that certainly a large number of articles will be submitted to the secretariat of the seminar.
World Philosophy Day was observed for three years in UNESCO, A'vani said, adding that the ceremony is to be held in India next year.
Sohrevardi has remained unknown in the world. His books have not been scrutinized precisely, he said.
